The eMerge Financial Wellness Process

The eMerge Financial Advisor will take you through a process consisting of the following six steps:

1. Establishing and Defining The Client-Advisor Relationship.

The advisor will clearly explain and/or document the services that can be provided to  you. They will define the responsibilities of the parties, both theirs and yours. The advisor will fully explain how they will be paid and by whom.

2. Gathering Client Data, Including Your Goals.

The advisor will help you to define your financial goals by gathering all the necessary information and documentation before giving you the advice you need. Your time frame for results will also be delivered.

3. Analyzing and Evaluating Your Financial Status.

The advisor will analyze your information to assess your current situation and determine what you must do to meet your goals. Depending on which services you have asked for, this could include analyzing  your assets, liabilities, cash flow, current insurance coverage, and investments and tax strategies.

4. Developing and Presenting Financial Recommendations and/or Alternatives.

The advisor will offer financial planning recommendations that address your specific goals based on the information that you provide. They will go over the recommendations with you to help you understand them so that you will be equipped to make informed decisions. They will also listen to your concerns and revise the recommendations as appropriate.

5. Implementing the Financial Recommendations.

You and the advisor will agree on how the recommendations will be carried out. The advisor may carry out the recommendations or serve as your "coach", coordinating the whole process with you and other professionals such as attorneys, real estate professionals, insurance agents, and retirement specialists.

6. Monitoring the Financial Recommendations.

You, along with your advisor, will agree on who will monitor your progress towards your goals in each specific area of your financial needs. If the advisor is in charge of the process, they will periodically review your situation and adjust the recommendations, if needed, as your life changes.
